Supply Your Own Quilt- Made to Order Coat
Supply your own quilt, wool blanket, coverlet etc for a custom made coat by Lojko Vintage.
This is a deposit for the quilt coat not the final cost. The remaining balance for your coat will be due when the coat is complete. Please note the deposit is non-refundable. Prices vary but typically the final cost of the coat is $250-$325 (including the deposit). We will discuss with you the total price upfront before proceeding.
Supply your own quilt or quilt top requirements:
In general quilts need to be 60”x 80” to be big enough for a coat. I can work with smaller quilts if okay with a shorter length coat i.e 22”-26”. Or I can always piece them with other quilts, or I like to use vintage fabrics/denim for instance. (Check out the Pinwheel Quilt Coat for an example of a small quilt pieced with other materials)
You can also supply a quilt top but, please note that there will be an additional fee since I will need to supply fabric for the backing, batting, and labor for quilting it. (see Maple Leaf Quilt Coat for an example of a quilt top used)
To get started:
Please email shop@lojkovintage.com with photos and dimensions of your quilt first. From there we will email you back with pricing for your custom quilt coat.
Pay for the deposit via this listing. Once you pay the deposit this will secure your spot in line.
You will be responsible for shipping the quilt to us. Once we receive your quilt we will get started on your quilt coat. We will soak and clean the quilt the best we can before cutting and sewing. Please note sometimes old quilts will have color bleeding issues, or the fabric is super delicate and will require only hand washing. We will let you know if this is the case with your quilt you supply.
